logo paper
Almost everyone in the United States or europe has seen the luxurious Mercedes car brand logo. The German car companies logo for their car is a three tip star. The tips of the star represent the company's dominance over the sky, land and water. The first Mercedes logo was seen in 1902 and doesn't have the traditional tri tip star. It looks very simplestec for our modern time. The tristar was seen next in 1909 but was quickly changed during the same year. It was changed to a blue circle with some gold in it. Seven years later the star made a come back and stayed. In 1916 the Star was put on black red circle. 1926 we first see one of the logos that are still being used and that is the silver star on the blue and dotted background. The current logo is the silver tri-star is the one with the tri-star within a silver circle.

serif has the weird tales on the letters like T
“fonts are the clothing that our ideas wear”
make your font egibile
serif has tails and sans serif has no tails
too many fonts will spoil the design
fonts that are to similar cause ambiguity
use upper and lower case letters for optimum clarity
left alignment reads easiest, consider eye flow as moves down a page

RGB ar three primary colors that we use every day. Computer monitors can only show red, green and blue. The computer monitors blend these three colors to make secondary colors these are the colors you see when you look a screen. Tertiary colors are colors that are just blended secondary colors like when u were little an you mixed all the colors and it turned out to be brown. Color is used against us very often in averdismemt, for example the color red on a woman makes her look fertile and more attractive to men. Also other colors can make other colors stand out more like blue and orange.

class file format notes
Graphic file formats
it is all about image compression
takes your file and makes it smaller to save hard drive space
all computer documents, or files, are packaged in different formats
the format is determined often by the files origin, such as a soft ware propgram like photoshop, or a device such as a digital drive
graphic image formats fall under 3 categories of compression, lossy and lossless
with lossy, image data ‘lost’ or reduced for smaller file sizes but can cause poor image quility . can result in showing ‘compression artifacts’
lossless retains image data for higher quality, but larger file sizes
lossy will make the image look worse then a lossless photo
gif and jpg both are lossy and compress the image
use pic or tif for better imAGE
TIF, JPG and GIF are the 3 most common formats for common activities such as printing, scanning and displaying images over the internet
PNG is a common web format, is high quality web format, is high quality and can contain an alpha (transparency) channel

can reduce an image file size by 10:1 without showing significant compression artifacts
the level of compression is adjustable
don't print as a jpg print as a tif
gif is made for flat artwork and good for illustration and cartoons
jpg gives images banding
GIF

tif and gif should be the best
